These kind of movies are the inspiration for many serials especially all the saas-bahu serials.
A remake of the 1992 film beta starring Venkatesh, Meena, Srikanth and a ably supported cast is a good film, but cimetography is very dated. Like the camera angles in this film are only used in serials.
That said, this movie has some very good acting performances
especially from the Venkatesh, his acting in the climax is ultimate. Meena who is a great actor overall has delivered a solid performance. Other actors like Kota Srinivas Rao, Y . Vijaya, Nutana Prasad, Jayachitra, Brahmanandam, AVS did justice to their roles. Srikanth's role was one dimensional and so there was very little scope to act well and he managed it well.
Story and screenplay of the movie are very good although there's some lag in between the film, like there's a scene where the lead actors go into a house and fall on a bed which is then transitions to a song . It's dragged on like rubber.
Music of the film is very good.
Overall, this film is a good fun movie if you can bear all the dated 90s stuff, or else maybe watch some new films.
